About
Brynn Kelly (she/her) is an actor and singer, age 22, from Lawrence, KS. She began performing at a very young age, making her debut in the musical "Annie" (as Molly) at Theatre Lawrence.
A May 2024 graduate from Drake University with a BFA in Musical Theatre, Brynn also minors in Creative Writing, in Theatre Design & Technology, and in Business Studies. At Drake, she works as a scenic carpenter Technical Assistant in the scene shop.
Training
Brynn is a martial artist with a second-degree black belt in Krav Maga from Premier Martial Arts in Lawrence, KS. She also taught Krav Maga youth classes!
In 2020, she started tap dancing and found she had a knack for it. She's been in tap lessons ever since and has been in multiple tap dancing productions as Dance Captain.
Her recent production of Athena at ISTC gave her fencing training in épée with USA Fencing Masters at Central Iowa Fencing Academy.
Backstage and Offstage
While she loves being onstage, Brynn has put in extensive work backstage. This includes working in a variety of technical departments, production teams, and design positions at her local theaters and university.
When she is not performing or covered in sawdust, you will find her spending time with her cat (Jupiter), reading classic novels, or trying out another creative project.
