About
Brynn Kelly (she/her) is a Minnesota based artist, age 24, from Lawrence, KS. She began performing at a very young age, making her debut in the musical "Annie" (as Molly) at Theatre Lawrence when she was nine years old.
Brynn graduated in May 2024 from Drake University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. She minored in Creative Writing, Theatre Design & Technology, and Business Studies.
Training
Brynn is a martial artist with a second-degree black belt in Krav Maga from Premier Martial Arts in Lawrence, KS. She also taught Krav Maga youth classes.
Her 2023 production of Athena at ISTC gave her fencing training in épée with USA Fencing Masters at Central Iowa Fencing Academy.
Since moving to Minnesota, she has enrolled in SAFD training to become an Actor Combatant. Her current skill proficiencies are Unarmed Combat and Quarter Staff.
Backstage and Offstage
While she loves being onstage, Brynn has put in extensive work backstage. This includes working in a variety of technical departments, production teams, and design positions at her local theaters and university. She is a member of IATSE Local 13.
When she is not performing or covered in sawdust, you will find her spending time with her cat (Jupiter), reading classic novels, or trying out another creative project.
